IQ-R is a printed unique 2D barcode that is protected by Jura’s own technology providing the security of the product on different levels: by public information (serial number), by verification/identification (digital signature), and by authentication of the print.

The IVI protection technology hides encrypted unique data in an existing image or background area on the document or packaging design etc. While the image is used in series, the data is continuously varying – resulting in each image being unique, different from all the others. Still, the data is ‘personalized’ and the image and the data together offer protection both against tampering and unauthorized personalization. The IVI feature can be automatically verified by a smartphone camera using Jura’s reader app (Android/iOS/Huawei).

Similar to the HP Screen, The Corvina Screen is a special screen generated to add a layer of protection to non-security design elements, elevating the overall security of the product. Corvina Screen was created specifically for high-security printers. Opposed to the HP Screen, Corvina Screen can be produced on your own. The design or image is developed, ran through, and identified by the printer, which then processes it and applies its own screening pattern.

The VTS protection technology builds up an existing image on the packaging design by a uniquely structured microtext screen. The image is entirely built up from wavy lines of microtext. The microtext is ‘personalized’, it is based on the picture, containing related personalized information. It can be easily verified in two levels – the readable microtext can be simply verified with a magnifier, and the unique wavy structure can be checked automatically with a smartphone camera using Jura’s Reader app (Android/iOS/Huawei).
